Saint Eugene’s Cathedral School is a community of faith built on the values, beliefs and traditions of Catholic education.
The school is an active ministry of St. Eugene’s Cathedral parish extending its mission of evangelization and catechesis. The school serves in the parish as an integral part of the interaction of the values of the Christian family, the Church and society.
The purpose of our school is to be a Catholic educational community which assists and complements parents, who are the primary educators of their children, in providing for and facilitating the development of the total person.
We aim to do this by providing a thorough education that allows a child to see him/herself as a unique person of God, and by providing a supportive and nurturing environment in which religious values, a moral conscience and educational skills will be developed. The school community impresses on the student his/her personal responsibility to become the best person he/she can be. In this way, we endeavor to prepare each student for a full life in which decisions are made in a reflective manner so students will become responsible citizens.
We instill in our students the Catholic theological virtues of faith, hope and charity, the cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude and temperance and Catholic doctrine so that they will become strong and engaged members of society. We give them tools, which will enable them to develop healthy relationships within their families, the Catholic Church, American society and the global community.
